The Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute at MidState Medical Center in Meriden is the first in the country to receive Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery from The Joint Commission. The certification follows a rigorous review by The Joint Commission, an independent organization dedicated to improving healthcare for the public.
Hartford HealthCare hospitals Hartford Hospital, MidState Medical Center and St. Vincent’s Medical Center have each earned four Advanced Certifications, including Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery, from The Joint Commission, placing them among only six hospitals nationwide to achieve this distinction.
